A few weeks ago, my mom and I were in the car and somehow the idea of creating a magazine that didn’t use Photoshop came up. We started brainstorming ideas and directions that this magazine could take and I knew we had stumbled on to something amazing. Girls are shown at such a young age a false reality where unattainable beauty and nearly perfect lives are what they must have in order to be happy. We’re setting the younger generations up for disaster. While the magazine might be far off on the horizon, it’s time to start a new trend and remind ourselves that we are already beautiful! This blog is for real women (and men too, of course). It will always be a work in progress, but I encourage my wonderful followers to submit their stories, ideas, quotes, and other inspirations to me. Eventually I will be looking for writers, so stick around! Thank you so much for following and let’s make this society a little better every day.
PS: As a fun fact, this is a picture of the necklace I wear every day…it’s sort of my signature piece. (And yes, it’s Brighton!)
This blog discourages the use of programs to edit images and alter the reality of the people displayed. In a time where everything can be edited, it's time to get back to what's real.
